Antje Knibb
Restaurant Manager
German born Antje comes from Wulfsen, a village south of Hamburg. After leaving school her interest in the restaurant business led to a three year apprenticeship in a country house hotel in the Lueneburger Heide region. Here she won a prestigious award for her extensive knowledge of German wines and developed her skills as a gueridon waitress.
The esteemed Garden Restaurant in Munich well known for it’s gueridon style of service then sought her expertise. After eighteen months Antje moved to Hamburg to Master in hotel catering. She was then employed in Germany’s capital, to work as assistant restaurant manager at Berlin’s highly acclaimed Hotel Steinberger.
To broaden her experience she moved to Leamington Spa in 2004 where she joined Mallory Court Hotel for a short period of time before moving to London with Peter. She became the only female chef de rang working at Pied a Terre (2 Michelin Stars) and further developed her talents.
